GENERAL NOTES ON CUSTOM BOARD HIRE
Custom Longboards are built for high performance and are therefore relatively light and fragile. They are generally only suitable for experienced surfers. In fact we are one of the only places mad enough to risk hiring them out!
Damage other than fair "wear and tear" will be charged for. The boards feature FCS Fin Systems which are designed to snap cleanly off the board if knocked...lost/snapped fins are charged at £10 each. Boards may be stored in the shop overnight or when not in use f.o.c. to minimise the risk of theft. All boards are hired at your own risk and there are no refunds for early return.
Croyde can get very crowded at times when there are excellent uncrowded waves to be found at Saunton (2 miles long) and Putsborough (3 miles long). In order to minimise the risk of damage (to both board and rider) it may be prudent to avoid Croyde at peak periods particularly with the more fragile Custom boards.
Boards may be left in the shop overnight if desired for security purposes.
